How it works

Single-works fabrication is the whole point

Plenty of firms can cover the country by sub-letting fabrication to whoever is nearest. The steel arrives, but nobody who made it is on site, and the quality varies with the shop that happened to get the order.

We do the opposite. Everything is drawn in AutoCAD in-house, cut and welded at one works, and tested and trial-erected there as required. Then our own team loads it and takes it to you.

That is a longer drive on some jobs. It is also why the parts fit when they come off the van, and why there is one firm to call if they do not.

What travels well

Distance changes the planning, not the standard

Three things we do differently once a site is a few hours away rather than a few miles.

Measured, not assumed

For anything fitting an existing opening we measure it ourselves first. A wrong panel is an inconvenience locally and a lost day at range.

Trial-erected first

Assemblies are built up at the works before they travel, so the fitting day is fitting rather than problem-solving.

One delivery, planned

Our own transport means the load arrives complete and in the order it is needed, rather than in whatever sequence a pallet network manages.

FAQs

Working with us at distance

Can’t find what you’re after? Get in touch and we’ll help.

Do you really cover the whole UK?

Yes. Fabrication happens at one works and our own team delivers and installs on site anywhere in the United Kingdom.

Does a job further away cost more?

Pricing depends on the job rather than a zone. Call Craig on 01782 561526 with the details and you will get a straight answer on both the fabrication and the install.

Will someone come out to measure?

For anything that has to fit an existing opening we would rather measure it ourselves than work from a description, wherever the site is.

Do you sub-contract the fabrication out?

No. Every job is drawn, cut, welded and trial-erected at our own works, and installed by our own team.

What happens if something does not fit on the day?

It is the reason we trial-erect. Assemblies are put together at the works first, as required, so the first time the parts meet is here rather than on your site.

Are your fitters accredited for site work?

All employees and sub-contractors hold CSCS accreditation, and workshop and site supervisors monitor safety daily.
